Bio

J.D. Douglas has been the Head Athletic Trainer at St. Johns River State College since December, 2010. He is the first full-time athletic trainer in school history. Douglas served for six years in the U.S. Navy as a Hospital Corpsman. After military service, he received a degree in athletic training at the University of North Florida. Douglas has worked as an athletic trainer at the High Intensity Training Center of Jacksonville, Paxon School for Advanced Studies in Jacksonville, and the University of North Florida.

Douglas is nationally certified in athletic training by the Board of Certification and is licensed by the State of Florida’s Department of Health. He is a member of the National Athletic Trainer’s Association and the Jacksonville Sports Medicine Project.

He has been married to his wife Jennifer since 2001 and has a son named Jack.
